Health & Fitness Accomplishment you are proud of since becoming a mom or when you were a mom to be:  Over the past 4 years I can honestly say that I am so proud of myself for how much stronger I have become – not only physically, but mentally . Before I got pregnant I couldn’t even hold myself up on a pull up bar. Not many people know this about me but all throughout my pregnancy (during which I gained a whopping 70 lbs.) I had bouts of depression where I would cry on a daily basis and I lacked motivation in everything I did.  I would go for the occasional walk around my local reservoir but I was not in a good physical or mental state of mind.  An unexpected pregnancy at the age of 24, while not married and in an unhealthy relationship was not ideal but I knew what I had to do.  After I had my beautiful son, Benjamin, I knew things had to change.  I was unhappy and felt trapped.  I removed myself from any toxic relationships and finally took the step to shed all the baby weight and become a better version of me.  It took about 2 years for me to get back to my pre baby weight.  Until I truly realized how important working out consistently and eating healthy were, going to the gym was just a waste.  Today, it’s safe to say that I am a strong, confident single MILF (mother instilling lifelong fitness) in the best shape of my life.  I have developed a passion for health & fitness and love to inspire people to be better and do better.  I would never be where I am today without the help, guidance and support of a few special people in the health and fitness industry that have pushed me along the way and taught me so much invaluable information that I use on a daily basis.  Also, a big thank you to my family for always being there and taking Ben so I could go workout.
Advice for Moms or Moms-to-Be:  If you want something, find the best people who will help you along your way to success and set your mind to it.  Always ask for help.  If you’re looking to become stronger or healthier make sure you do your research and find someone who is going to support you and knows what they are doing to help get you to where you want to be.  Invest in yourself…and make sure to always have a smile on your face!
