Health and Fitness Accomplishment you are Proud of since becoming a mom or when you were a mom-to-be: My biggest accomplishment is probably the fact that the way I look and feel makes me happy. I worked really hard after my daughter was born to lose the (50lbs eeek) weight I gained and while I had diastasis issues, I managed to close the gap ALMOST entirely!! Having a flat stomach before being pregnant made it hard for me to accept not having one after…shallow…I know. But looking good and feeling good contributes to my happiness as a person and who doesn’t love a happy mommy. 🙂 I was about to sign a fitness modeling contract until I found out I was pregnant…who know’s…maybe one day I could be a fitness mommy model but in the meantime I’m happy just being a fit mom.
Advice for other moms or moms-to-be: Do what makes you happy!! A happy mommy makes for a happy baby 🙂 And if you workout before you are pregnant, definitely keep working out when you can while you’re pregnant. For some reason I stopped…and I think it had a lot to do with my excessive weight gain and diastasis. Stay active. It will go a long way. But don’t be too hard on yourself either…growing a human is hard work! 😉
