Health and Fitness Accomplishment you are Proud of since becoming a mom or when you were a mom-to-be: Before my first pregnancy I was extremely underweight and was throughout, 90 lbs pre pregnancy, 112 lbs at 40 weeks. After I had my daughter I still wasn’t able to keep much weight on. 100 lbs at most. When I got pregnant with my son I was able to gain and got up to 150lbs. Very different. After I had my son. I stayed in the 140s and hated my body. I suffered with PPD and was always unhappy in clothes. My sister-in-law and I were both in down places and started working out together and making life style changes with our eating habits and daily lives. My husband stared joining us to support me and his sister. Since then I’m down to 120 and love my body and love that I am a health role model for my children in their eating habits and daily lives.
Advice for other moms or moms-to-be: Don’t give up! Making a lifestyle change isn’t easy and won’t happen over night! It takes time and will power but YOU CAN DO IT! Take baby steps at first, like working out twice a week and giving up soda and slowly build on to it. Makes the transition so much easier and doesn’t overwhelm your body!
