Your Preferred Form of Exercise: I am a yoga instructor, business owner of SUKHA (yoga studio) and front desk receptionist at Brielle Sports Club. I practice yoga everyday, row, walk and lift light weights. My outdoor exercises consist of walking, hiking, riding my bike and paddle boarding.
Health and Fitness Accomplishment you are Proud of since becoming a mom or when you were a mom-to-be: I have so many accomplishments since I became a mother of two amazing children. Personally and Professionally. Self care was always important to me. Gaining 80 lbs during both pregnancies took a toll on my body. Now, at the age of 44, I am proud to say I am in the best shape of my life. I fit in exercise as much as I can. Being a single mom can require a lot of running around and balancing. You must have a positive attitude and make self-care a priority.
Advice for other moms or moms-to-be: One thing I would tell anyone; male or female. “If you are not happy, your kids won’t be”. You have one body, you must take care of it. Showing your children positive self-care habits are a priority. Taking the time to exercise, a good skin care regimen, and eating healthy and taking time for yourself, is not selfish. It is SELF LOVE!! Your kids will appreciate it and follow in your foot steps.
