Health and Fitness Accomplishment you are Proud of since becoming a mom or when you were a mom-to-be: Staying active in some way, shape or form and eating foods that both nourish my body and baby throughout my entire pregnancy! My fitness routine remained somewhat the same throughout pregnancy (loads of yoga, walking, dancing, low impact cardio, weight training), but just toned down to accommodate my changing body and growing belly.
Advice for other moms or moms-to-be: Honor your body even more so than usual. Check in with yourself and honestly ask your body what it needs. It’s SO easy to do too much, overextend ourselves…and get burnt out. More often than not, we need to do LESS and rest/chill out more! I always remind my clients that it’s not only a wonderful habit to practice for your health/wellness/sanity but it’s also an excellent way to lead by example as a parent! Your child will grow up learning that putting his/hers health first is an important priority.
