Health and Fitness Accomplishment you are Proud of since becoming a mom or when you were a mom-to-be: I’ve always thought of myself as a fairly active person. Before I became a mom I enjoyed my gym time, hikes, those types of things. It was becoming a mom that really drove me to focus on myself and my wellness. I’m most proud of completing my first half marathon when my son was 20 months. I realized I was stronger than I ever thought and that is something I want to teach my son – set goals, set them high, and know that you’ll reach them at your own pace.
Advice for other moms or moms-to-be: Always take time for yourself! You are worth every minute you pour into yourself – it can be gym time, time on the trails, or even just dancing around your kitchen as you cook. No matter what it is – enjoy it!! You can’t give from an empty cup, so always make the time to fill yours.
