Children: Two under two! Proud mama of a toddler boy and an infant girl.
Your Preferred Form of Exercise: I am a certified yoga teacher and currently teach prenatal, Baby & Me, and Toddler & Me yoga classes several times a week. I am also a certified Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre instructor for Fit4Mom. I also have a dance and cheerleading background and I ran track & field for ten years.
Health and Fitness Accomplishment you are Proud of since becoming a mom: I became a certified yoga instructor while pregnant with my second child and while busy caring for my toddler. I taught yoga and Fit4Mom classes up until my due date with my daughter and got right back to it only five weeks after giving birth. Now, only three months postpartum, I workout every day and I’m stronger than ever!
Advice for other moms or moms-to-be: Be good to yourselves. As a woman, a mom, we tend to be very hard on ourselves, so we need to sometimes shut out the outside voices and listen to what’s within. We know what’s best for ourselves and our kids, so while others may be well-meaning with their advice, you intuitively know what’s best for you, your kids and your family. Know that our kids learn from watching us and if we are happy and healthy, they will be too!
