Health and Fitness Accomplishment you are Proud of since becoming a mom or when you were a mom-to-be: My proudest health and fitness accomplish since becoming a mom-to-be is a tough one. Nevermind anything about my physical accomplishments……what I am MOST proud of is revisiting something I LOVE to do, and making it all work at home by reigniting my 20-year passion for helping OTHER people meet THEIR health and fitness goals. Since having Christian I’ve renewed and expanded upon my ACE certification to personal train new moms, instruct Stroller Fitness classes for Wheee Get Fit & Play LLC, substitute group fitness classes at gyms locally, as well as coach with Beachbody. Not only do I get to inspire, motivate and coach people to be the best version of themselves, including moms like myself, I get to do it all flexibly with my son.
Advice for other moms or moms-to-be: My advice for other new moms…when my son Christian unexpected came 10 weeks early, all of my focus of course went immediately to him. But the doctors told me just what I needed to hear to get through his 6 week hospital stay: “Strong, healthy, happy mamas make strong healthy, happy babies.” So don’t forget what truly makes you happy! Make sure you put it on the top of your to-do list every day, despite all the craziness of being a new mom, and the rest (including all of the love and care for your family) will follow.
