Fresh Guacamole Recipe

IMG_1018In an effort to get my toddler to eat more calories I make fresh guacamole probably 1-2 times per week. Since making my own I just can’t eat the pre made store bought kind anymore. Trust me, this recipe is so easy, you’ll never buy the pre made stuff again either! The hardest part is waiting for the avocados to ripen so you can get to work!




3 ripe avocados
Juice of 1 lime
Top Crop Fresh Salsa (<— that’s the brand I use, but you can use any Pico de Gallo)
Garlic/garlic powder


IMG_1015– Take the pits out of the avocados and remove peel. (Click here to see if your avocados are ripe)
– The following ingredients are added based on personal taste. Use more or less based on what you like. 5-10 “shakes” each of salt and pepper. Either 2-3 cloves of fresh garlic OR 5-8 “shakes” of garlic powder. 3-4 heaping tablespoons of “Fresh Salsa” (more or less based on if you like a chunky or smooth guacamole)
-Squeeze the juice of an entire lime over mixtureIMG_1017
-Mash ingredients together to your desired consistency (less mashing for chunky, more mashing for smooth)

TASTE TEST! Usually if something’s “off” it’s the balance of salt to lime.
